It's only been one month and I'm already slacking with the posts. I have a lot of catching up to do --this is what I feared when I first started this blog. Despite all of the pressure I put on myself to update the blog and the lack of time I seem to have to actually do it, when I do in fact sit down to blog, I find it quite calming and cathartic. I am really enjoying it. Now, the question is --is anyone really reading this???
Okay, well we've been quite busy the last few weeks between celebrating weddings in so-cal, travelling to Hawaii, celebrating belated father'sday, 30th birthdays, and David and my 7 year anniversary. I've got a lot of blogging to do so here it goes...
On the weekend of June 12th David, Jadon and I travelled to Long Beach to attend the wedding of a dear friend of mine whom I met while studying abroad nearly nine years ago in Seville, Spain. Houng and I were practically joined at the hip while I studied there. She was such a wonderful support system. She always encouraged me and cheered me up when I got homesick or lonely. I always said I lived vicariously through Houng because I didn't have the guts to stay in Spain for a whole year but she did. She even moved out of her host family's house and rented an apartment with an native Spaniard. I wished I had her sense of adventure!
Here we are at a Chinese restaurant near the center of town in Seville. Houng is the one on the far left.
Houng and I are in the far left window of the Jeep. We were in Morocco on the outskirts of the Sahara Desert.
After returning from Spain and graduating from UCLA, Houng decided to take her sense of adventure to the next level and she joined the Peace Corp. She was stationed in Peru for 3 years and there she met her now husband, Doug. Okay, fast forward a few years and here they are getting married...
David and I were so happy to be able to make it to the festivities. It was great to see Houng and Jessie (another old friend I studied with in Spain).

It was a great weekend to catch up with old friends and spend time with my hubby and baby. Jadon was totally hamming it up on the plane ride home. I think we may have a future Cal Bear on our hands!!..
